This complete setup provides everything you need for professional-grade camera scanning using the 135/120 Autocarriers with built-in infrared dust removal technology.
The system utilizes a specially modified camera and a VIS-NIR optimized lens to capture two images per film frame:
One in visible light
One in infrared light
In the infrared image, only dust and surface particles are visible. The included SmartConvert software uses this data to automatically remove dust from the final scan, resulting in exceptionally clean images - without the need for manual touch-ups. Note: IR dust removal works exclusively with color film. It is not compatible with black-and-white film.
The included lens is engineered for precision across the visible and infrared spectrum. Unlike standard lenses, it delivers maximum sharpness and zero distortion over the entire wavelength range, which is critical for accurate IR-based scanning. The lens comes with all necessary adapters and extension tubes necessary to connect it to the Nikon camera.
